______________________________________________________________

Name: Tix
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Tree Serpent
Length: (without ears and berries) 2,7ft

About Tree Serpents:
They hatch from eggs and spend their first 9 years with their parents who teach them everything they have learnt themselves how to survive in the nature. Afterwards, when they have fully grown up, they leave their nest to move as far away from there as possible. On their search for a new home they're also looking around for another Tree-Serpent from the opposite gender. When finding one they spend their journey together until they've found out if they get along with each other or not. In most cases they do, and when this happens, they both end their journey together as soon as they've found a place where they can build their nests. Then they lay between 2-4 eggs and while the male is exploring the nest's surroundings to memorize every feeding ground and every waterhole, and generally their place's features (dangerous zones, hiding spots, vegetation). While the female is watching after the eggs, the male is teaching them about their new home. When the eggs finally hatch, the female permanently stays by the babies while the male collects all fruits, berries and water. After one year, when the babies are able to move perfectly, the father shows them and his female the surroundings and serves as their teacher since he has become familiar with the surroundings the most. During the years the Tree Serpents go more and more outside their territory to explore the world. When they find other Tree Serpents they often become friends, visit each other and give each other advices. And when the children are old enough to leave, the whole thing starts again.
There are a few Tree Serpents who act differently. If they have searched very long and haven't found a partner yet and get tired of traveling, they settle down by their own and wait for another Tree Serpend to pass by. Tix is one of those. He has settled in the Clearleaf forest after he has traveled about ten years.

Body features:
Tree Serpents' bodies are built to be agile and fast. With their gummy bones they can bend their bodies, their hands help them to dig holes, grab things and climb trees and with their beak they pick up berries and crack nuts. They have very big ears so they can sense any danger in time and flee before it's too late. Their tail features an extra layer which contains nutrients which allows small plants to grow there. This and the ability to change their skin colour in a 3 hour progress helps Tree Serpents to adjust themselves to their surrounding to hide better.
That would make many Tree Serpents look pretty different, but what everyone of them shares, is also the most known feature: The special berries which grow on their tales. Even if they lived in a wasteland where no plants are growing (what's very uncommon since they prefer forests and jungles), every Tree Serpent starts to grow these berries on their tail after reaching 3 years.
Those berries aren't there for eating. Well, you can eat them, but you'll soon start to feel dizzy and eventually get numb. Those berries serve as a self-defense. Tree-Serpents tear them off and throw them at attackers. The poison inside one berry is too weak to work, but three would be enough to tranquilize a minisaurus. But generally Tree-Serpents prefer running away than using their secret weapon. Tearing one berry off feels like when a human pulls out a hair. So they like to pass on that small discomfort.

Now to Tix himself:
He has grown up with a younger sister who have both left their homes. As said before, after 10 years of traveling Tix gave up finding a partner and decided to settle down in the Clearleaf forest. He liked the peaceful atmosphere and also the teensies seemed pretty friendly.

Tix enjoys peace and calmness. When he feels threatened, he quickly gets nervous. He's cautious and tries his best to avoid any dangerous situation. Because he also wants to avoid any fights he mostly pusses out when it comes to conflicts with someone else. Only when he's angry or annoyed he throws one or two of his berries, just to flee instantly, hoping that the troublemaker doesn't chase after him. But even then Tix is quick enough to find a good hiding spot.
When interacting with other people Tix tries to be as nice and non-provoking as possible. He often watches travelers from a safe distance and even helps them sometimes unseen, like dropping something to eat when they're hungry or throwing stuff at creatures attacking them to distract these. But not too much - Tix doesn't want himself to get in danger. Generally he avoids interacting with people.

There are different reactions:
When the person is mean and seems threatening, Tix will flee and try to avoid them at any costs.
If the person doesn't seem much for a conversation, Tix will just hide again, pretending to have gone away. But he will still watch over the person.
When the person is all nice and sweet to Tix he might get flattered and could even be willing to go along their side to get to know them some more. This way you can gain his trust and when you're lucky you can become his friend.

But it's pretty hard to gain Tix' trust. And when you screw up just one time, he will never trust you the same way again. But when you got him as a close friend, you will see that Tix can be one of the most loyal and selfless persons you've ever met. Even when he often whines about everything and seems to be a big coward. When his best friends are in danger, he won't hesistate to help.

Relationships with canon characters:

Betilla:
Actually Betilla was at first scared, when she saw Tix for the first time. But after some time they both got along pretty well. Tix actually got a crush on her for a while, but got dumped by her. He still wants her to be his friend though and is always GLaD when she occasionally visits the clearleaf forest.

Rayman:
Tix admires his courage, but also doesn't like his militant nature. He does help him when he needs something, but mainly just because Rayman is such a close friend to Betilla.

Globox and his family:
After his children treated him as a toy, he doesn't respond well regarding them.

Barbara:
He's terrified of her. He's never seen such a wild and brutal girl, which is the opposite of the girls he has met so far.

Ly:
Tix loves hanging around with her. He's fascinated by her magic skills and her calmness and he loves watching her juggling. Sometimes he might get a little bit too attached to her.

Teensies:
He often helps them with their field work to get some of their food for exchange.

Everyone who's evil:
An absolute no-go for him.

Mostly Tix doesn't interact that much with those characters. When he does, he wether relaxes with them or brings himself in safety because they're bashing each other up once again.

Cool character but I don't agree with Rayman being that militant. Origins and Legends got weird that way but it's mostly due to how the players control the characters. By Rayman adventures, I see him more closer to Rayman 1 and 2.
